RIAT Arrivals - Props
By Frank Grealish / Sonya Cooley | July 2024 | RAF Fairford (FFD / EGVA), UK - England
In the fourth of our RIAT arrivals air-to-air photoshoots, we focus this time on transports, trainers and maritime patrol aircraft.
Two maritime patrol aircraft joined up over the three days of flying, a classic Breguet BR1050 Alize warbird from the Alize Marine Association in France, with a brand new Irish Air Corps Airbus C295MSA Persuader from 101 Squadron (Maritime Surveillance and Airlift Squadron), based at Baldonnel, paying the Skyvan a visit.
Six transports in the shape of three Lockheed-Martin C-130 Hercules from the Hellenic, Norwegian and Jordanian Air Forces, two Alenia C-27J Spartans from the Romanian & Slovak Air Forces, along with an Airbus A400M from the Luftwaffe joined up for photos.
Smaller and lighter visitors comprised a pair of Slovenian Air Force Pilatus PC-9M Hudourniks, along with a Tecnam P2006T from the Royal Air Force Rapid Capabilities Office.
A Big Thank You Goes To....
Eric Coeckelberghs and the Aviation PhotoCrew, as well as the Royal International Air Tattoo, for the opportunity to photograph all of these aircraft the air-to-air.
